1. General information
The following General Terms of Rental shall apply to rental of bicycles on
www.rentbikebornholm.com, for collection at Store Torvegade 59, 3700 Rønne or on the Isle of
Bornholm, when renting, collecting and returning.
In case of delays, backorders or unavailable items, we strive to inform you as soon as possible and
what we can do about it.
Pricing error
If a price is obviously incorrect and you reasonably should have discovered this, we are not
obligated to supply the product in question, at the wrong price.
2. Purchase & payment
www.rentbikebornholm.com is open 24 hours a day, for you to shop. However, we may close access
to the web shop for maintenance purposes. You can only place orders when the webshop is accessible.
To shop at www.rentbikebornholm.com, you must be 18 years of age and in possession of a valid
credit/debit card, which we accept. If you have not yet reached the age of 18, you can still buy goods
if you have obtained your guardian's consent or otherwise have a legal right to enter into the
transaction.
You can change the contents of the shopping cart, until you confirm your purchase by pressing the
"Complete payment" button. At that point your order goes on to Holms Cykler ApS. Once you have
purchased an item from us, you will receive an order confirmation for our receipt of your order.

There is no fee for payment with the above cards on www.rentbikebornholm.com.
To protect against credit card fraud, the Danish banks have introduced an extra security check. This
means that you may be asked to approve your purchase with NemID. It is recommended that you use
the NemID app. You can avoid this extra check by paying with MobilePay.
In case of suspicion of card fraud, Holms Cykler ApS can opt for payment via bank transfer.
3. Pickup & return
At www.rentbikebornholm.com we of course make sure that you can rent the bikes in the best possible
way. You can therefore choose to receive the bikes with several options.
We offer the following options:
  • Pickup and return at Holms Cykler ApS, Store Torvegade 59, 3700 Rønne, free of charge
  • Delivery and collection on the whole Isle of Bornholm by Holms Cykler ApS, with a fee
  • 3.1 Pick up at Holms Cykler ApS
    At pick up of your order at Holms Cykler ApS, please state the following at the cash register:
    Name

    Please pick up your order at the agreed time of pickup. If you have booked pick-up outside normal
    opening hours, it cannot be guaranteed that there will be staff to deliver the order other than at the
    agreed time. In that case, you can only pick up your order during the next upcoming opening hours,
    unless otherwise agreed upon. Rentee is not entitled to a refund in case of absence, and must therefore
    still pay for the entire rental period. If you are prevented from picking up at the agreed time, please
    inform Holms Cykler ApS as soon as possible for alternative pickup time.

    3.2 Delivery on the Isle of Bornholm
    If you wish to have your order delivered on the Isle of Bornholm, please state the following upon
    delivery:
  • Name
  • Ordernumber
    Rentee must be available at the delivery address at the agreed time of delivery. If you are prevented
    from being at the address, please inform Holms Cykler ApS as soon as possible for alternative
    delivery.
    3.3 Rental agreement
    Rental agreement, in accordance with Danske Cykelhandlere, must be completed and signed upon
    receipt of the order before the rented items can be taken into use.
    4. Right of withdrawal
    In accordance with “Law on certain consumer contracts” rental of bicycles is not covered by the right
    of withdrawal. If rentor cannot deliver the leased property, the full amount will be refunded. Change
    of rental period can only take place if the desired period is available. A change of the rental period
    cannot be done online, but only by durect agreement with Holms Cykler ApS.
    Holms Cykler ApS accepts cancellation with full refund of the amount, until 14 days before the start
    of the rental period. If you wish to cancel your order, please write to: udlejning@holmscykler.dk

  • Rental period
  • The amount will be refunded within 14 days from the day we received your notice that you will regret
    all or part of the agreement. The amount is returned with the same means of payment that was used
    at the time of purchase, unless otherwise agreed.
    5. Warranty
    Your purchase is covered by the Purchase Act, including the defect rules. This means that you have
    a 2-year right to make a complaint and that you can either have a defective item repaired,
    exchanged, the money back or a reduction in the price, depending on the specific situation.
    It is, of course, a requirement that the complaint is justified and that the defect has not arisen as a
    result of incorrect use of the product or other damaging behavior.
    You must complain within a "reasonable time" after you have discovered the defect in the item. We
    recommend that you notify us, as soon as possible.
    If the bicycle has a fault for which Holms Cykler ApS is responsible, you have the right to have the
    bicycle repaired or replaced with a new one. In some cases, you can get your money back or a
    discount on the price. Holms Cykler ApS may try to repair the damage or replace the bike a few
    times - typically one or two. Then you can get your money back.

  • Detailed description of errors and / or deficiencies
  • Depending on the specific situation, you will receive the further instructions.
    If the complaint is justified, Holms Cykler ApS will bear the costs of repairing the rented equipment,
    including collection and delivery in connection with repair or new rental bike. If, on the other hand,
    the complaint is not justified, the rentee is obliged to bear the costs of collection / delivery and
    possibly repair in case of damage to the rented equipment.
    6. Liability
    The responsibility for the bicycle rests with the rentee throughout the rental period. Rentee is a
    customer who has booked and paid online as well as approved trading and rental terms. Rentee is
    responsible for the maintenance of the bike during the rental period. The rented equipment is
    delivered to the rentee in good condition and without visible defects. Any complaint about the
    condition of the rented equipment must be submitted immediately after delivery. Upon termination
    of the agreement, the rentee is obliged to return the rented equipment in the same condition to the
    renter at his own expense and risk. If bicycles are handed over before the end of the agreed rental
    period, the rental amount or part thereof will not be refunded.
    6.1 Personal injuries
    All usage of the rented equipment is at your own risk, and no compensation can be directed against the
    renter, Holms Cykler ApS, for any personal injuries incurred during the rental period .
    6.2 Property damage
    If damage occurs during rental, it is the rentee’s responsibility to pay for repair of the damage,
    including replacement of damaged parts. All damages must be repaired by Holms Cykler ApS. If the
    rented equipment is assessed as total damage by Holms Cykler ApS, the rentee is free to summon a
    third party for assessment. A third party must be expert and approved by both rentee and renter.
    It is recommended that the rentee has a liability insurance, which may cover any damage and theft
    during the rental period. Also that the bike is reviewed by both parties before the rental period.
    6.3 Saltwater
    The bicycles must not be ridden in salt water.
    7. Personal data
    Holms Cykler ApS respects all requests for confidentiality of personal information that you submit
    on the web shop. In addition, we are aware of the need for appropriate protection and proper
    processing of your personal data. Holms Cykler ApS registers and processes personal data in
    compliance with the rules in force at any given time.
    By using www.rentbikebornholm.com or booking rentals in the webshop, you accept that Holms
    Cykler ApS registers and processes your personal information in accordance with the following.
    You can use www.rentbikebornholm.com without providing personal information about yourself.
    www.rentbikebornholm.com uses cookies, but the use of www.rentbikebornholm.com does not in
    itself entail registration of personal information.
    In order for Holms Cykler ApS to process your order, provide news and other services, we need
    certain personal information that you provide yourself, for example when you:
      Make a booking on www.rentbikebornholm.com
      Sign up for a newsletter
      Sends an inquiry, complaint or gives us feedback
      Or otherwise provide personal information to us via www.rentbikebornholm.com or in
    some other way
    By submitting personal information, you agree that Holms Cykler ApS processes the personal
    information, including that Holms Cykler ApS:
      Registers the personal information you provide, including name, address, telephone
    number, e-mail and possibly other information
      Registers information about the purchases you make on www.rentbikebornholm.com
    Holms Cykler ApS do not sell your personal information to third parties and does not store
    information about your means of payment, for example card numbers on debit/credit cards, bank
    account numbers or the like. The submitted personal information is stored for 5 years, in order to
    comply with the provisions of the Accounting Act, after which it is automatically anonymized in our
    IT systems.
    In addition, we collaborate with a number of other companies that store and process data. Companies
    process information solely on our behalf and may not use it for their own purposes. We only work
    with data processors in the EU or in countries that can provide your information with adequate
    protection.
    The purpose of the registration and processing of personal data is to be able to provide services to
    you, as well as help with any errors and omissions in connection with booking, collection and
    delivery.
    You have the right to:
      Get information about which personal information Holms Cykler ApS has registered
    about you
      Correct incorrect, incomplete or irrelevant personal information
      Transfer your registered personal information to third parties
      Request to have all personal information deleted
    You can withdraw your consent to the processing of personal data at Holms Cykler ApS at any time.
    However, this does not affect the legality of the previous handling, which is based on the consent
    before the withdrawal thereof.

    8. Right of appeal

    that the conditions for these are met.
